Athletics 2018

On Tuesday, we had athletics. We had to do high jump, long jump, discus, shot put and running.
I ran the 800 meters (it was exhausting, I don't know what place I came) and in the 100 meters race I came 4th or 5th.

The worst thing about it was, I had a bloody nose in the middle of running and had to stop because I started panicking.

It took about 10-15 minutes to walk to Lovelock track (or something) from our school. When we finished athletics, we had to walk back to school and trust me, nobody liked it.
Me at the back, before I got to the front.

Me on my second lap, it was exhausting.

Roll a story (made up edition)

Character: Three headed dragon
Setting: Enchanted desert
Problem: Stuck in land of spirits

The scorching sun beats down onto the sand. The sand wasn't the normal yellow-ish colour though. Instead, it was black, pitch-black. The three headed beast wandered through the extraordinary desert, searching for gems and valuable materials. While trying to find the valuable gems, he started day dreaming about an entire mountain of gems, with him on top of it. While dreaming, he became unaware of his surroundings, he kept on walking until something flashed past him and scared the day lights out of him.

The beast woke up, jumped up and all three heads started scanning the landscape. They saw nothing but the pitch-black sand. They scanned for about 20 minutes before he stopped scanning. When he did, another shadow flashed past him. The dragon stared in shock before feeling pain in his legs. The dragon collapsed before the air turned black and formed into shapes. The shapes turned into creatures that never existed in his world. The creatures back were adorned with spikes that gleamed in the light. It's eyes are blood-red, it's claws and teeth are razor sharp. They snarled and barked at the dragon. Circling around him.

The dragon lost his temper after one of the shadow creatures clawed at his face. The dragon started biting randomly, striking none of the shadow creatures. He has lost his mind now, he is becoming a maniac. The dragon started clawing, biting and shooting out beams. The shadows felt no pain. It seemed as if they were dodging every single move. The dragon swiped them with his tail, but then he noticed why he couldn't hit them, they were all illusions, nothing but spirits stuck in this world.

He suddenly stopped attacking and sprinted away from the shadows. The shadows started shrieking and snarling. After a few seconds of shrieking, it grew silent. The dragon looked behind him, they were gone. He turned back the to the way he was facing and a pitch-black spear greeted him by impaling his chest. The dragon started panicking, pain started surging through his body. He started seeing things of his past, like a mental slide show. He remembered something while watching the past fly through him. He started to keep calm. The pain ceased. The dragon then stared at the spear. The spear flew back and a silhouette appeared before him.

The silhouette looked at the dragon, after a few minutes of staring at each other, the shadow started to speak, at first the dragon was confused, he then found out it's speaking with it's mind, "Telepathy" the dragon wondered "Yes telepathy" the silhouette replied. "You have passed the test, you may leave Limbo". The dragon started feeling excited yet freaked out, "This was Limbo after all?!?" The dragon yelled as if he just found all the diamonds in the world. The silhouette didn't reply and gradually faded away. Darkness started to swirl around the dragon, before he could scream, he was back at the desert.

He got up and forgot all about finding gems and returned home, he began carving on a stone, the word was: "The land of spirits".
This is another Roll a story narrative. Instead of losing memory, the character got stuck in Limbo, instead of a fire dragon, it was a three headed dragon. I enjoyed writing this story, hope you enjoy it!

Write a story, with a dice.

In Room 25, we learnt about the structure of narratives and how to write one. Here is the story I created with a dice.

Character: Fire dragon
Setting: Dark forest
Problem: Lost their memory

The gloomy forest covered up an enormous part of the land like sauce over chicken. Deep in the forest, a battle is raging. Dragon against knight, the dragon flung his foe onto a decaying tree. The dragon prepared his final attack to finish the knight off. Before the dragon could react, the knight threw his sword aimlessly, the sword still struck the dragon though. The sword dug it's way through the thick scales of the beat's head.

The dragon finally woke up. He looked around, all he saw are trees. "Why am I here?" wondered the dragon, when he tried to get up, he found out he had been pinned on the soggy mud by a clay-more. He grasped the clay-more and yanked it out of his wrist, the pain surged through his body. He groaned with pain as the blood flowed through his arm and out his wrist.

He took a stroll through the forest and went past a decayed tree. A part of his memory flashed into his head, he instantly fell backwards it the mud. He rolled back up and winced at the memory. He stared at the log and something appeared in his mind. He didn't know what or who it is, but it looked familiar, a little creature dressed in armour, with a sword embedded with dragon scales.

The dragon started to walk faster, he then tripped right over an object, he turned his head instantly and a corpse of a deer greeted him. Again, memory flashed back, not pleasant ones, unpleasant. Again a creature appeared, it was the exact same creature, the one who had scales on his sword.

The dragon has had enough, he set out and tried to fly, he only glided for a few seconds and toppled over. "What in the world is happening?!?" Finally, able to fly again, he set off. After a death-defying hour, he found a building with enormous walls that towered over him.

The dragon was greeted with a shout and a ton of arrows flying through the air. The dragon dived and evaded all the arrows. He flew towards the building, when he got close, something pierced his wing, he spiralled towards the ground, amazingly he was able to land without any injury. He looked straight and there it was, the one with scales on his sword.

The dragon recognised the scales, memory of his beloved ones hit his mind hard. He seethed with anger, he threw himself towards the knight, the knight remained calm and dodged to his right and slashed his wing. The dragon didn't seem to feel pain and managed to strike the knight full on the chest with his talons. The dragon then leaped towards his enemy, he then got impaled on the stomach by his foe.

He spat out blood, he then gritted his teeth and stabbed the knight's chest. Then the knights eyes widened and then he grew stiff. The knight dropped his sword and started to speak gibberish, he then grew silent, the dragon then burnt the knight's corpse into ashes. Victory was the dragon's, he got his memory back and returned to the forest, where he lived in peace.
The dragon getting impaled
This narrative, I wrote myself. It took me about 3-4 hours and a few mins to finish the story on my book.

It took few minutes to copy it all down onto the blog and a few seconds for the picture (I was rushing because not enough time.)

I hope you enjoy the narrative, leave a comment about the story, suggestions or any other things about this narrative.

My speech

What suffocate’s thousands of creatures?
What blocks drains and contaminates the ocean and fields?
Is it plastic? Or is it because of people?
Here is the answer and it might shock you...
Both, people and plastic.
I’m here to talk to you about why people NEED to stop littering all over the land and ocean.
One reason is because it kills 100 million creatures every year and threatens extinction to some animals. It can harm people that eat creatures that ate plastic. It all starts off when somebody drops a plastic bag or any other rubbish on the land. It could’ve saved thousands of creatures if only that person put the rubbish in the bin instead.

                 How ancient are plastic bags?
The material plastic has already been here for more than a century. Sten Gustaf, used plastic and introduced plastic bags to the world. He made it for a purpose, to make carrying things around easier and making the bag able to last long enough for people to keep using it. The only problem was, people didn’t reuse it, he also did not notice that it could murder 100 million creatures. When more people started using it, they became careless, drop them all around the land. It has murdered millions of creatures.
                      Impact on turtles.
An example are turtles, they see plastic bags as jellyfish. They eat the plastic bag and guess what happens? They die, not quickly, but slow and painfully. That, can make turtles go extinct, they already are endangered yet, people still use plastic bags. If people keep using plastic, one day turtles will be “dead as a dodo”. One day we might have to change it into “dead as a turtle”.

                          Impact on birds.
Birds also think it’s food. So they do just about anything to eat the plastic and meet the grim reaper. People have found birds with their stomach all filled up with plastic caps, bags, straws, cans and even pieces of metal. Sometimes the bird survives and feeds it’s chicks, just to find it sprawled on the sand or rock, motionless and lifeless.

                     Plastic in the ocean.
Plastics have also sailed all over the ocean. Literally. Plastic has been in in the Mariana trench, deepest part of the ocean. Even the dumbo octopus, angler fish, giant isopod/amphipod, weird “ghost snailfish” have eaten plastic. This proves that plastic has literally been all over the ocean. It’s already bad enough isn’t it? Yet, we still use plastic. Everyday, approximately 8 million plastics find their way to the ocean. It also takes plastic about 500-1000 years to decay. So if all plastic takes 1000 years to decay and there are 8 mill plastic in the ocean, it might take… (Help where’s the calculator?) 800 million years.  People from 3018 can find the plastic that we used… Expect there might not be 3018....

                        Burning plastic.
People also smolder plastic, which harms the air. It releases carbon dioxide, sometimes methane and other toxins. If we continue like this, we’re going to regret it because we’re going to suffocate slowly. Incinerating plastic also causes global warming. The chemicals can burn the ice and make the Earth flood. That, is how humans can be extinct along with trillions of other creatures. I’m pretty sure the guy in River Styx will say: “We’re gonna need a bigger boat”.

Now I’m going to ask you for your opinion, are you going to continue using plastic and destroy the environment, or are you going to stop using plastic and ask others to stop too? I hope you stop… Or you will regret it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This term we were learning about descriptive writing. Here is my very own speech. I created it to try stop people using plastic and littering. The only problem is, I don't have the guts to share it in front of people.

Even tho I didn't get to the semi-finals, I don't really care.

Are you persuaded by the speech?

Dawn raids DLO (part.2)

My DLO about Dawn Raids.

I also created the scene about the raid on the outside view. I also created a link to the people that changed the world (Martin Luther King, Kate Sheppard and Walt Disney).

Space Invaders, Reborn! (There's no such thing yet, I just released my creativity).

Here it is, my very own spacey.

Instead of making a squid or stuff like that, I decided to make a combination. I added a robot from Gundam (remember the cyclops one with the red eye?) Then I took the eye and the colour and combined it with a UFO-squid.

Also, try to find the pattern. Here is the start, 1,1,2,3,5... Try find the rest (it's hard unless you know about the Fibonacci pattern).

Fibonacci Spiral art

I created and finished my Fibonacci Spiral. It's based on the Fibonacci's pattern (1,1,2,3,5,8...) Since the pattern can be found in nature, I decided to created my dream place (I like trees and plants).

I also added a few Easter eggs which include slender man (almost impossible to find because of the light) and my ROBLOX avatar (blue arm, blue leg the rest, black).
